Celebrity Guest Garry Unger’s NHL Career Numbers

Please welcome former NHL all-star, Garry Unger as our celebrity guest.
 
Garry played 16 magnificent seasons in the NHL with six different teams. He played in All-Star Games, World Championships and was the NHL's Iron Man.

Let's take a look at some of the numbers of Garry’s playing career:
 
1105 – Games in the National Hockey League with Toronto, Detroit, St. Louis, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Edmonton between the years 1967 and 1983.
 
804 – Career NHL points.
 
413 – Career NHL goals.
 
391 – Career NHL assists.
 
1075 – Career NHL penalty-minutes.
 
662 – Games played with the St. Louis Blues, where he posted 546 points and served as team captain
during the 1976/77 season.
 
52– Career NHL post-season games.
 
42– Career high in goals, which came during the 1969/70 season when posted 42. He would hit the 40-goal-plateau again in the 1972/73 season when he netted 41.
 
83– Garry’s career high in points, which came in the 1975/76 season.
 
2- Times he represented Canada at the World Hockey Championships, in 1978 and also the following year, 1979.
 
914– Consecutive games-played, a record at the time, making him the NHL Iron Man.
 
7– Times selected to play in the NHL All-Star Game (1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977 and 1978).
 
7– Garry’s #7 has been honored by the St. Louis Blues. The number is no longer issued by the team.
 
238– While playing for the Peterborough Pirates in the British National League during the 1986/87 season, Garry scored 95 goals, 143 assists and 238 points in 30 games. Yes, 30 games, not a typo!
